8 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari

The one-week self drive safari adventure of tracking both Gorilla and chimpanzees in an amazing encounter. The adventure starts from Kampala and ends at Kampala, you will track gorillas and the chimpanzees, tree-climbing lions, wildlife encounter, and boat ride.

Day 1: Arrive in Uganda and Transfer to Kibale NP

Upon your arrival at Entebbe airport, find with Drive East Africa representative to handover your rented vehicle. Then transfer to Kibale National Park if its lunch time hour’s en-route at Mubende town. Proceed to Kibale and have your dinner and overnight here.

Day 2: Track Chimpanzees

Today following the early breakfast, hurry for the briefing about the tracking etiquette by the park warden. With an armed ranger-guide embark into the jungle to start searching for the human closest relatives the chimpanzees. Kibale is the world’s primate capital the most perfect forest to track chimpanzees, tracking habituated communities of chimpanzees can last for about 3ominutes and encountering the apes you have an hour in their presence. After trekking can refresh at your lodge and during the afternoon hours take a community visit at Bigodi Village.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today following your relaxed breakfast, drive to Fort Portal farther to Amabere ga nyina mwiru and learn about the Toro dynasty. With lunch en-route drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park check in at your lodge and relax.

Day 4: Wildlife drive and boat launch

Take a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector, the wildlife drive can be either before breakfast and enjoy the phenomenal sun raise view. A game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park rewards with varieties of interesting games to watch including herds of buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, hippos in various ponds of savannah well as several bird species and many other animals. En-route at your lodge for lunch and board for afternoon game drive at Kazinga channel that connect to two lakes of Lake Edward and Lake Gorge. The boat ride of about 2 hours watching several birds, crocodile, hippos, monitor lizards among others.

Day 5: Tree climbing Lions and Bwindi

This morning will drive to Ishasha south of Queen Elizabeth National Park to track the rare but more thrilling tree climbing lions. Driving from park headquarter takes about 2 hours to Ishasha. After encountering the kings of the jungle lazily relaxed in tree branches, with lunch enroute proceed on your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Buhoma sectro.

Day 6: Trekking Mountain Gorillas

Today experience the spectacular adventure encounters trekking the world’s most desirable know-how. Following the well-served breakfast drive to the starting point for the briefing about trekking, each group led by an armed ranger guide you en-roll into the forest start searching for the gorillas. Trekking mountain gorillas is Africa’s most thrilling adventure safari. The undertaking can last for about 1-8 house sometimes seems tiresome but after hours of trekking and finding these giant apes all the worrisome is forgotten. After the encounter refresh with lunch en-route and visit the local communities of the Batwa communities for cultural entertainment.

Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi

This day morning drive to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, Lake Bunyonyi is Africa’s second deepest lake. Like the name suggests the lake is home for numerous bird species, take a boat ride to some of the islands and relax at your lodge.

Day 8: drive Back to Kampala.

Today you will drive back to Kampala en-route for lunch at Mbarara town, another stopover at the equator along Masaka road for photographs and then continue to Kampala drop off at either Kampala or Entebbe airport for your flight back.
