Zip-lining Mabira Forest in Uganda

Experiencing the unique Mabira Forest canopy is arguably the best zip-lining experience in Africa, just makes you act like monkeys! Jumping from one tree to another, this is the first of its kind in Uganda. This Canopy Super Skyway is a canopy “zip-lining” system in the Mabira forest that sends you soaring high between the tallest trees in Uganda’s biggest eco rainforest. Just 46kms heading East of Kampala City, on the outskirts of Lugazi sugarcane town at the griffin falls camp, the skyway makes you a mind-blowing quest experience.

After your briefing, you will be led to pass over ancient trees like mahogany by qualified Sky guides/ Captains across 5 zip-lining network sections that stretch 250 meters across River Musamya. By observing strict International safety standards, use of imported climbing gears, and art high ropes from the USA, clients have belayed up the first tree, carried through the whole system, and repelled on a 78m diagonal zip. High up in the canopy one is able to enjoy a view of the forest layers, animals like grey-cheeked mangabeys, primates like red-tailed monkeys, Velvet monkeys, birds like palm nut vultures, Eastern gray plantain eater, African fish eagles, black and white cascade hornbill, great blue turacos and the roaring griffin falls, making your zip experience truly a memorable one!

The nature walk back from the super skyway enables you pass the beautiful Griffin Falls back to the camp which offers clients accommodation including camping for those who love to camp in wild, meals, mountain biking are among other services. The super skyway takes a maximum of 4 hours.

This super Skyway was designed, certified by the Uganda Engineers Registration Board and insured by the National Insurance Corporation.
